Chelsea star Mason Mount appeared to write ‘fight me’ on Christian Pulisic’s hat-trick ball.

Christian Pulisic was left a bunch of messages from his Chelsea team-mates on his hat-trick ball from the 4-2 win over Burnley.

Frank Lampard thrust the American back into the starting line-up against Burnley on Saturday and he repaid his manager’s faith in emphatic style with the ‘perfect’ hat-trick.

The 21-year-old admitted after the match he had to be reminded by his Chelsea team-mate to go and collect the match ball from the referee as it was his first career hat-trick.

And it’s clear why they were keen to bring the match ball back to the dressing room as the players took turns in writing a personal message on Pulisic’s trophy.

Not all messages are clear in the one photo of Pulisic holding his match ball.

The most prominent though was a rather unique note left by Mason Mount.

He wrote: “Congrats bro! First of many. 1v1 box fight me!”

Another message appeared to be from Olivier Giroud with the message signed off with ‘Oli’.

It read: “Suuup Shawty! Hahaha Amaaazing 'perfect' hat-trick! Love Bro!”

Pulisic hasn’t had it all his own way since joining Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

He was an unused substitute in the league for all three games in September, while only coming on for cameo appearances in wins over Southampton and Newcastle.

Pulisic will undoubtedly be hoping his hat-trick hero performance will see him named in the starting line-up on a more regular basis.

But Lampard has some tough decisions to make in order to please everyone on his team.

While Pulisic had been spending time on the bench, Callum Hudson-Odoi had returned from injury in brilliant form by registering one assist in all three previous Premier League games.

Willian meanwhile has proven to be one of the first names on the team sheet by complimenting the young talent around him.

Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori have also been breakthrough talents with Chelsea now moving up to fourth in the league table.
