Will Nightingale faces late check for AFC Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon will check on defender Will Nightingale ahead of the Sky Bet League One match against Portsmouth.

Nightingale had been hoping to be back in contention following a hip problem and is being monitored after having an injection.

Defender Terell Thomas is expected to be available after overcoming a minor knock, but forward Michael Folivi (abdominal) remains doubtful.

Centre-half Rod McDonald (knee) is stepping up his recovery, along with defender Luke O’Neill (calf) and forward Adam Roscrow (thigh).

Portsmouth will be without forward Brett Pitman for the trip to west London.

Pitman was forced off during the second half of the goalless draw at Gillingham with a groin strain.

Goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray and midfielder Ross McCrorie are back from international duty.

Forward Oli Hawkins is expected to remain out for a number of weeks with a foot problem, while midfielder Bryn Morris (groin) and defender Jack Whatmough (knee) continue their rehabilitation.
