Queen of the South pick up first away win with victory over Partick Thistle

Darren Brownlie scored as Queen of the South earned their first away win of the campaign by beating rock-bottom Partick Thistle 1-0.
Brownlie struck on the hour to move the visitors up to sixth and four points clear of their opponents in the Ladbrokes Championship.
Thistle had broken their duck last week with a surprise win at Inverness but they were unable to follow it up with a first home win of the campaign.
Home goalkeeper Scott Fox produced a fine save to deny Scott Mercer in the first half.
But there was nothing Fox could do when defender Brownlie got on the end of Faissal El Bakhtaoui’s corner to head in his first goal of the season.
Thistle went in search of an equaliser but Dario Zanatta fired off target and Shea Gordon was denied by goalkeeper Ross McCrorie.
