Potter and Smith set to shuffle packs as Brighton host Aston Villa

Brighton boss Graham Potter will again utilise his squad for the Carabao Cup tie against Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
Goalkeeper David Button is set to take over from Mathew Ryan, while midfielder Yves Bissouma, fit again after shoulder surgery, could be drafted in having coming off the bench at Newcastle.
Forwards Glenn Murray (ankle) and Neal Maupay (knee) are expected to be rested, with one eye on Saturday’s Premier League match at Chelsea.
Defender Bernardo continues his recovery after taking a kick in training, while winger Leandro Trossard (groin), forward Alireza Jahanbakhsh and defender Leon Balogun continue their own rehabilitation along with Jose Izquierdo (knee) and Ezequiel Schelotto (knee).
Villa boss Dean Smith is also likely to shuffle his pack after Sunday’s 3-2 league defeat by 10-man Arsenal.
Smith made 10 changes for the 6-1 second round win at League Two Crewe, with only striker Jota retaining his place, and he could rest key players once again ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Burnley.
Jed Steer is likely to replace Tom Heaton in goal, as he did at the Alexandra Stadium, while Ahmed Elmohamady, Conor Hourihane and Henri Lansbury, who were used only as substitutes at the weekend, will also hope for starts.
Kortney Hause, Ezri Konsa, Matt Targett, Douglas Luiz, Keinan Davis and Jota are among those also looking for inclusion.
