Quigley bags brace as Dagenham beat Hartlepool

Joe Quigley scored twice as Dagenham extended their unbeaten run to seven matches with a 3-1 win over Hartlepool.
Daggers opened the scoring in the 24th minute when Joan Luque pulled the ball back for Quigley to beat Ben Killip in the Hartlepool goal.
Angelo Balanta saw a shot tipped onto a post and out for a corner from which Manny Onariase sent a header against the crossbar as Dagenham pushed for a second.
Harry Phipps and James Dobson came close before Daggers did double their lead in the 69th minute when Balanta beat Killip to the ball and slotted in from a tight angle.
Quigley brought a superb stop from Killip, but it was Hartlepool who pulled a goal back through Ryan Donaldson’s deflected strike in the 80th minute.
Any hope that goal offered was quickly killed off as Quigley scored his second of the game after Balanta’s header came back off the crossbar.
