Hull’s deadline-day signing Callum Elder could make his debut for the club in their home game against Wigan.
Elder, signed from Leicester for an undisclosed fee, is in contention for his first Tigers appearance, but midfielder Dan Batty remains sidelined due to an ankle injury.
Batty damaged ankle ligaments in the recent Carabao Cup penalty shoot-out defeat to Preston but could return in time for next week’s trip to Luton.
Boss Grant McCann has confirmed midfielder Markus Henriksen is available after an expected move away from the club this summer failed to materialise.
Wigan midfielder Anthony Pilkington is expected to return to contention after recovering from a thigh injury.
Pilkington has been sidelined for a month but proved his fitness in midweek while playing in a development squad fixture.
Teenage striker Joe Gelhardt (hamstring) featured in the same game and will be hoping to retain his place in the squad.
Forward Josh Windass (calf) and defender Tom Pearce (back) will be monitored after missing the recent home draw against Barnsley.
