PAUL POGBA’S agent has made a last-minute plea to Manchester United to sell the star French midfielder to Real Madrid, according to reports.

Mino Raiola informed Old Trafford chiefs his client would NOT sign a new contract and urged the club to sell him to the Spanish giants for ï¿¡181million.

According to Marca, Real feel they are unlikely to sign Pogba this summer.

But they will instead wait till next year’s window and aim to sign the Frenchman for a reduced price, as his contact expires at the end of the 2020-21 season.

The club have stood behind Pogba after he was racially abused on social media following a missed penalty against Wolves.

It would be a similar situation to when they landed Eden Hazard, who moved from Chelsea earlier this summer for ï¿¡150m.

But United and the 13-time European champions have had ill feeling over transfers in the past, including over the then world record swoop for Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009.

Then, Sir Alex Ferguson declared he "wouldn't sell that mob a virus" but the move went through after a year of speculation.

Ed Woodward then shelled out on ï¿¡73m Angel Di Maria in 2014, but that ill-fated transfer turned out to be a dud for Louis van Gaal.

And United loaned Javier Hernandez to Real during the 2014-15 season.

Real have picked up four points from their opening two La Liga games this season, after a 3-1 win over Celts Vigo followed by a disappointing 1-1 draw with Valladolid on Saturday.

The Spanish capital club face Paris Saint-Germain, Club Brugge and Galatasaray in their Champions League group after the draw was made on Thursday.
