Cove saw their 100 per cent start to the Ladbrokes League Two season end as they drew an entertaining match at Albion 4-4. f
Paul Hartley’s fourth-tier newcomers trailed 1-0 to a goal from Declan Byrne but bounced back emphatically to lead 3-1 at Cliftonhill thanks to goals from Harry Milne (17). Jamie Masson (38) and Declan Glass (41) .
The Highland League champions looked set to record a third successive win to start the campaign – but Euan East reduced the deficit in the 57th minute, Lewis Wilson headed in a 71st-minute equaliser, then Smart Osadolor (83) capped an impressive Albion comeback.
The drama was not finished though, with Mitch Megginson’s 86th-minute goal earning Cove a point.
Annan and Elgin drew 1-1. Shane Sutherland gave the visitors the lead 14 minutes from time but Matt Douglas equalised for Annan five minutes later.
Scott Shepherd’s stoppage-time goal gave Edinburgh a 2-1 win over Brechin. The hosts led through Alex Harris (22) but Paul McManus levelled 12 minutes into the second half.
Cowdenbeath beat Stirling 1-0 with a 49th minute goal from Kris Renton – the visitors had Kyle Banner dismissed for two yellow cards with six minutes remaining.
Salim Kouider-Aissa’s last minute penalty earned Queen’s Park a draw with visiting Stenhousemuir, who had led through David Hopkirk’s 47th-minute spot-kick.
