Tottenham threaten Man Utd plans for Sporting CP midfielder Fernandes

Tottenham have moved to beat Manchester United to the signing of Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The Mirror says Spurs have moved for Sporting goal machine Bruno Fernandes with talks deadlocked for Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso.
They have now sent two senior officials to Lisbon to try and finalise a deal.
United also have an interest in Fernandes but have yet to table a bid with the club prioritizing the signing of Harry Maguire from Leicester .
Spurs have already broken their transfer record this summer to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for £65m but their only other signing, Jack Clarke, immediately returned to Leeds on loan.
