REAL MADRID are increasingly confident of signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United, it has been claimed.
Zinedine Zidane is desperate to bring the Frenchman to the club but Madrid's president Florentino Perez has been cautious given the huge sums already spent on players this summer.
But ESPN claim sources at the Bernabeu believe they will land their man before the transfer window shuts.
Pogba said he was ready for a new challenge at the end of last season.
And his agent Mino Raiola also publicly declared 'the end of the story is not written'.
It was also reported this week that Real are prepared to stump up United's £150million asking price for the 26-year-old - with Pogba to match Gareth Bale's wages of £600,000 a week.
While Zidane insisted Real have a plan in place to bag the Red Devils' star.
And Pogba's brother is reportedly interested in a move to Madrid to be closer to his brother if he makes the move to Los Blancos.
But while a deal for the midfielder seems inevitable, Andreas Pereira revealed he plans on stopping Pogba from leaving the club by nicking his phone.
United face Chelsea in their Premier League opener on August 8.
