Ally Roy hit his first two goals for Airdrie as they secured a 3-2 Betfred Cup victory at League One rivals Clyde.
The forward converted from the penalty spot following a handball and tapped in the third for the visitors after Adam Eckersley’s fine finish had doubled Airdrie’s lead.
Clyde responded well to get back into the Group F clash as David Goodwillie won and tucked home a spot-kick before heading in his second as Airdrie hung on to claim the win and the three points.
