PAUL POGBA’s proposed move from Manchester United to Real Madrid is reportedly being held up for two reasons.

Pogba seems certain to leave Old Trafford despite Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being keen to keep hold of him.

The French midfielder recently admitted he wants a new challenge after three years at Manchester United.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has also said that his client wants out with Real Madrid keen on the World Cup winner.

Real made a number of signings in the first few weeks of the transfer window, however have not got a deal for Pogba over the line.

And Goal claim that United need to be willing to discuss terms for Pogba before a move is made.

It’s also reported that Real Madrid need to push through more sales before moving forward with a deal.

Manchester United are believed to have refused to even talk about an exit for Pogba.

But Madrid know they can’t fit Pogba into their squad until they get rid of more players.

Seven stars have already left the Bernabeu boosting Real Madrid’s transfer kitty by £112million.

But Real Madrid chiefs reportedly see it as too little.

Goal add that Real need to raise around £140m to pursue Pogba and keep within Financial Fair Play regulations.

Gareth Bale, Isco and James Rodriguez are among the candidates to depart.

Solskjaer will hope Real don’t make a move for Pogba however former United midfielder Kleberson believes the midfielder should be sold.

“It is the right move to sell Paul Pogba, he's a great player and his talent is unbelievable," the Brazilian said.

"But his style is a little bit different, and not particularly what Man United need.

"He could use this opportunity now to leave and get a fresh start, play in a different atmosphere, and embrace a new challenge.

"Sometimes it's hard to come to Manchester United and adapt to play a particular style.

“It doesn't mean he's not a good player with great quality. There's a lot of criticism around the players, sometimes it doesn't always go well.

"You work hard, you want to perform for the team, but some things go wrong, and these can be out of your control."
