REAL MADRID are ready to offload four players as they step up their chase for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Los Blancos struggled last season and finished a whopping 19 points behind La Liga champions Barcelona.

The heavyweights failed to make the transition into a post-Cristiano Ronaldo era and sweeping changes are now taking place at the club.

Zidane has already lavishly splashed the clash.

But with Pogba still firmly on the agenda, he now needs to sell before he can buy.

According to Spanish news outlet Diario Madridista, a high-profile quartet are in the firing line.

Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Keylor Navas and Dani Ceballos all look set to pack their bags.

Some players will be easier to shift than others.

Ceballos is being chased by a host of clubs - including Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Rodriguez, meanwhile, has been linked with Manchester United but a move to Napoli now looks most likely.

The Colombian forward spent two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga side opted not to make the transfer permanent.

Goalkeeper Navas has spent the last five years at the Bernabeu.

However, he’s now playing second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois and will be moved on.

Bale - despite being the most valuable player on Real’s books - could be the most problematic.

The Wales international earns a staggering £500,000-a-week and few clubs can match his eye-watering pay packet.

Real will need to raise around £150m from selling the quartet if they want to finally get Pogba.

His relationships with senior figures at Old Trafford has been fractured - particularly during Jose Mourinho’s tenure - but Ed Woodward will not let him leave on the cheap.

Pogba effectively issued a come-and-get-me plea to Real last month.

At a promotional event, he told reporters: “After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else,” he said.

“For me, I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.

“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge.”
