Man Utd transfer news: Inter going “all out” for Romelu Lukaku

Inter Milan are going "all out" to sign striker Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United, according to the player's agent.

The Belgium international joined the Red Devils from Everton for an initial £75m fee in 2014 and has scored 42 goals in 96 appearances for the club so far.

However, a run of just four goals in his final 14 league games of last season, as well as constant question marks regarding his first touch, has led to strong speculation linking him with a move away from Old Trafford, with Italian giants Inter Milan the most likely destination.

Lukaku has often described playing in Serie A as his "dream" and now, his agent, Federico Pastorello, has confirmed Inter are going "all out" to bring him to the San Siro.

"It was just a chat," Pastorello told Sky in Italy. "I spoke with the director [Giuseppe Marotta] to understand the club's intentions with the player. They will take the decisions, we can't put a time frame on it.

"What is clear is that if Inter want the player, they will need to get a move on.

"Inter are seriously trying to sign him, they are all out for him. Goals are not always there to be reached, but it's a declared target. At the moment, it remains a complicated dream."

New Inter boss Antonio Conte is believed to have tried to sign Lukaku for Chelsea back in 2017 but the 26-year-old instead opted for a move to Man Utd.

The Red Devils, meanwhile, have been linked with a move for Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder to replace Lukaku, should the Belgian make his move.
