Lukaku fears United may price him out of a move to Inter Milan or Juventus.

And if he has no choice but to stay at United then Lukaku is wants to ensure he is not left out in the cold — by showing his professionalism to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Lukaku was not due back for another week after playing for Belgium this summer but he will now be back in the gym on Monday at United’s Carrington base.

United boss Solskjaer will not stop Lukaku leaving — but his club are determined to get £75m for the Belgian.

MONEY BACK

Inter Milan have twice failed to sign him, first with the offer of cash plus controversial striker Mauro Icardi.

They also tried to loan him for two years with an obligation to buy at a total cost of £65m.

Juventus are now tipped to make a move but United will not budge until they get their money back on the Belgian star.

Yet while Lukaku knows he is no longer wanted — with Marcus Rashford poised to become next season’s No 1 striker — he is determined not to sulk.

He has made it clear that he will work as hard as possible and it is understood he plans to hit the gym first thing tomorrow.

New Inter boss Antonio Conte is trying to raise more funds to land Lukaku who has scored 42 goals in 96 games for United but found himself out in the cold at the end of last season.

Conte is set to raise £40m by flogging Inter stars Joao Mario and Dalbert, and there could be more players cleared out to help finance a bigger offer.
