BARCELONA have told Neymar he must agree to three conditions before they pursue his return.

Barcelona are considering a sensational return for PSG star Neymar two years after he left.

Neymar joined the French champions for a world-record €222m (£198m) back in 2017, but his Parisian excursion has not played out as he’d hoped.

The 27-year-old has been embroiled in controversy on several occasions amid suggestions his focus and mindset has changed since leaving Barcelona.

But despite all that Barcelona are reportedly prepared to offer him an escape route, but he must agree to three permutations first.

Initially he must take a pay cut - he currently earns €30m (£26.8m) a year in Paris, but would have to accept less to join the Catalans.

Neymar is also taking legal action against the Spanish side over unpaid bonuses he believes he is still entitled to.

Barcelona insist he must drop all those charges if he is serious about rejoining for a second spell.

Thirdly the forward must go public with his desire to return and admit making an error in leaving in the first place.

According to Brazilian news outlet A Tarde Neymar is prepared to adhere to all three requests in an effort to leave the Parc des Princes.

He is believed to have already told PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he wants to go back to Barcelona.

The Qatari-owned side will request €300m (£268m) if Neymar is to leave, a significant increase on the expenditure it took to sign him not so long ago.

However his exit is not viewed by all as the worst possible outcome for the Parisians amid murmurs of dressing room unrest.

Neymar’s ego is said to have reached new levels and is internally affecting the group’s harmony.

Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi though is keen to have his former team-mate back alongside him with the two maintaining a positive relationship.

Messi’s stature in Catalunya was believed to be a major factor in Neymar’s departure having grown tired of playing second fiddle.

However it looks as if he now realises the grass isn’t always greener and playing a support role to perhaps the greatest player of all-time isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
