The Bournemouth striker, 27, is wanted by Manuel Pellegrini as Celta Viga forward Maxi Gomez looks set to stay in Spain with Valencia.

Wilson is now the Hammers’ No1 target to bolster their forward line ahead of the new season, with Pellegrini looking to freshen up his attack.
They have been long-term admirers of the ex-Coventry star, who has been a consistent goalscorer when fully fit in the last four years since promotion in Eddie Howe’s team.
He battled back from two serious knee injuries to earn his first England caps last season when Gareth Southgate rewarded his form with a call-up.
Howe will have the final say on whether Wilson would be allowed to leave the Vitality Stadium.
With three years left on his current deal, there is no risk of the Three Lions striker losing value - and a deal is likely to rest on Bournemouth getting offered the right package to tempt them into selling.
Pellegrini would have Wilson leading his attack in a summer revamp at London Stadium.
Javier Hernandez will be allowed to leave, with Valencia and Galatasaray interest, while Jordan Hugill could return to Preston.
Andy Carroll has left the club after his contract expired and Marko Arnautovic was unsettled last season amid interest from China.
