REAL MADRID are trying to shift up to TEN players to raise funds for a £135m bid for Paul Pogba.

The Spanish giants are desperate to land Pogba, who is rated at £150m by Manchester United, for manager Zinedine Zidane.

France star Pogba is disillusioned with life at Old Trafford and wants to move – but Real need to shift players to make the numbers work.

They have already spent £250m bringing in Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Eder Militao and are poised to spend another £44m on Lyon’s Ferland Mendy.

So they are making a host of fringe players and misfits available to try and balance the books ahead of a push for Pogba.

Gareth Bale is the biggest name who has been made surplus to requirements, but so far no offers that interest the Wales star have arrived.

Colombian James Rodriguez is also for sale, with Napoli interested, along with Mateo Kovacic, who spent last season on loan at Chelsea.

Midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is on Tottenham and West Ham’s radar, and Spain winger Lucas Vazquez are also surplus to requirements.

But Real will also listen to offers for Borja Mayoral, who is wanted by Real Sociedad, and Martin Odegaard, who has interest from Ajax and Bayer Leverkusen.

Benfica target Raul de Thomas and even rising Spain stars Marco Asensio and Isco could also be on the chopping block.

United are reluctant to lose Pogba after paying a club record £89m for him when he joined from Juventus in 2016.

But there is an acceptance within the club that they may be forced to sell if the price is right, with Real confident he will push for the move.
