CHELSEA boss Maurizio Sarri will become the next Juventus manager with an announcement pending on his arrival, according to reports in Italy.

Juventus have been on the look out for Massimiliano Allegri’s replacement for the last fortnight and had several candidates in mind.

But after a series of conversations with various individuals Juventus have settled on Sarri as the new man to lead them.

The announcement is due on Thursday - 24 hours after the Europa League final between Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Italian giants were keen not to disrespect the west London outfit prior to their European duel, but journalist Tancredi Palmeri has revealed the deal is done.

Juventus’s representatives have been negotiating Sarri’s exit with the Blues as the former Napoli manager attempts to reach a financial agreement with the club.

But it looks like he will have to resign and lose two years salary to join the Serie A champions.

He will earn €7m (ï¿¡6.1) in Turin which is more than he currently takes home in London.

Sarri has not been a roaring success at Stamford Bridge and his managerial style has not endeared himself to many, not least to Marina Granovskaia who has not been impressed with the Chelsea boss.

His stock in Italy however has endured ever since he departed the country off the back of an excellent season with Napoli.

He now looks certain to lead Juventus post Allegri, but it could have been so different had the Bianconeri’s attempts to lure Pep Guardiola succeeded.

It has been reported that the Italian side made three separate attempts to prize Guardiola away from Manchester City.

The first contact was made after their 2-0 defeat to Atletico in the last 16 of the Champions League before a second attempt after City were dumped out in the last eight by finalists Tottenham.

A third and final effort was made upon Allegri’s announced departure but the Catalan repeatedly rebuffed the interest.

The club’s hierarchy though believe they have planted the seed sufficiently enough that they can again return in the future.

Mauricio Pochettino was also considered but they opted to go in a different direction.
