James could be a Neymar replacement for PSG

What will happen in the next few months of James Rodriguez's career remains a mystery, but a new club has emerged as a potential destination for the Colombian.

He is reported to have told teammates at Bayern Munich that Paris Saint-Germain may move for him should Neymar leave France to sign for Real Madrid.

German newspaper Bild have made the claim that the Ligue 1 champions are a possible landing spot, along with Juventus, given the unlikeliness of returning to Real Madrid after his loan spell in Bundesliga.

Bayern will have the final say given their option to make his loan deal permanent, but as MARCA Claro have previously reported they are unlikely to do so and the player does not want to stay at the Allianz Arena.

Zinedine Zidane does not want him for his rebuilding at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and so a swap deal for Neymar, a long-term target of Florentino Perez, could be viable.

The playmaker is well known in France given his success in Ligue 1 with Monaco before joining Real Madrid in 2014.

The next step will be for Bayern to make their decision on his future public, though that will likely not take place until after their domestic league and cup campaigns have ended.

As Bild have reported, and as MARCA Claro have confirmed, James believes that PSG is a possible destination among many for a man who will surely be one of the most in-demand in Europe this summer.
