Will Aimson faces late fitness test ahead of Bury’s final game against Port Vale

Bury will check on Will Aimson ahead of the promotion party against Port Vale.

Aimson went off injured before half-time during the 1-1 midweek draw at Tranmere which sealed their promotion to League One.

Fellow defenders Mark Ellis and Luke McCullough are still out with knee injuries.

Forward Ishmael Miller is back in training after a hamstring injury but is not expected to feature.

Vale’s Manny Oyeleke is doubtful with the calf injury he sustained last month.

Fellow midfielder David Worrall has a heel problem but is expected to be in contention.

Striker Danny Elliott suffered an ankle injury in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Macclesfield and will be assessed.

Vale, safe from relegation, have an otherwise fully-fit squad.
