Mowbray poised to make Rovers changes

Tony Mowbray could turn to youth as his Blackburn side close the Sky Bet Championship season out against Swansea this weekend.

The Rovers boss says he would “like to give some younger players a chance” but knows he must temper that with respecting the game.

That could see the likes of Harry Chapman given a start at Ewood Park.

Goalkeeper Jason Leutwiler appears to have held off the challenge of David Raya to be Mowbray’s first-choice option at the close of the campaign.

Leroy Fer misses out for Swansea, with his career in Wales looking to be over.

The midfielder injured his knee against Ipswich on Easter Monday and was ruled out for the rest of the campaign, with his contract up for renewal in the summer.

Boss Graham Potter has a full squad to choose from, apart from Fer and Martin Olsson.

He may, though, make changes, after switching formation midway through Wednesday’s draw with Derby – a move which saw midfielder Matt Grimes drop into a back three.
