Joaquin's wife stands by her husband after Real Betis' defeat

Sevilla fans came down on Joaquin Sanchez after Real Betis' defeat in El Gran Derbi last Saturday, and the player's wife took to social media to support her husband.

The 37-year-old winger had previously teased the fans of Los Nervionenses following their Europa League elimination at the hands of Slavia Prague back in March.

"If you are a cheerful footballer who likes to laugh, tell jokes and experience life with humour, the rival fans in your city will call you a CLOWN," wrote Joaquin's wife.

"If you have a comfortable life, where you don't hurt anyone and you meet all your payments religiously, they tell you that you are in the spotlight so that some shameless people invade your privacy.

"Where are we going to get in this life? Where is the honesty and dignity?

"I really do not know, but in my family, I will fight to grow them up knowing the fundamental values.

"I wish that all of you who read this are as happy as I am. Life only happens once."

Burglars robbed both Joaquin's home, as well as that of William Carvalho, during the derby against Sevilla and the local police have already launched investigations in both incidents.
