Ajax boss confirms Frenkie de Jong is still in doubt to face Juventus

Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has this evening revealed that Frenkie de Jong has not yet been passed fit to face Juventus.
Juventus vs Ajax
Eredivisie table-toppers Ajax travelled to Turin earlier today, ahead of their Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash with Juventus tomorrow night.
The capital outfit are set to head into proceedings as underdogs, with Juve a formidable force at home (as evidenced by their 3-0 drubbing of Atletico in the last-16), and the Bianconeri also holding the advantage of an away goal following the 1-1 first-leg result.
de Jong in doubt
And Ajax's tough task at the Allianz Stadium could yet be made even more difficult by the absence of a key player.
Midfield standout Frenkie de Jong was forced off after just 28 minutes of the Dutch giants' 6-2 win over Excelsior on Saturday, after picking up a hamstring problem.
And, as confirmed by Ajax boss Erik ten Hag this evening, though de Jong has travelled with the rest of the Godenzonen's squad to Italy, he may not feature tomorrow night:
'We don't know about De Jong, as it happened on Saturday. We'll take it one day at a time and one hour at a time. We certainly won't push him in training.'
The player has to decide. We cannot look inside his own body. If there is too big a risk, then we won't push it. The player must decide. Frenkie is always a very positive guy. We're positive about him playing, but we'll have to wait and see.'
The announcement of Juventus' squad a short time ago, meanwhile, has seen both Giorgio Chiellini and Mario Mandzukic miss out with respective injury problems:
