Knowing that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men are entering a hectic end to the season, Jones literally left it all out on the pitch on Saturday night.

Blood was pouring down his face after he suffered a nasty head injury from Rice's blow, which landed just above his eyebrow.

After the ball was put out for a throw-in, physios rushed to offer treatment to the defender.

Jones was able to complete the game, but had to don a head bandage until the final whistle.

And on Sunday he showed off a Frankenstein-like mark on his forehead while arriving at United's training ground.

United snatched the three points after Paul Pogba scored a double from the spot at Old Trafford.

Felipe Anderson equalised for West Ham in the second half, but the Frenchman's late penalty salvaged a crunch win for Solskjaer's side.

United leapfrogged Arsenal into fifth and are now two points behind the top four - although the Gunners have a game in hand.

The Red Devils are now travelling to Spain to face Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday.

Barca have a one-goal advantage over the Old Trafford outfit after Luis Suarez found the back of the net, heading the ball home off Luke Shaw's arm.
