ARSENAL fans were left fearing the worst when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang presented Drake with a Gunners shirt, with their ensuing loss at Everton seemingly confirming the rapper's "curse".

Currently on a tour of Europe, including dates in Dublin, Birmingham and London, Drake has many famous fans - including the Arsenal striker.

They posed for a photo during his run of O2 Arena shows last week and Arsenal went on to drop out of the top four with a limp display at Everton, losing 1-0.

Aubameyang started on the bench at Goodison Park as the hosts spurned a number of chances to inflict an even more decisive scoreline on Unai Emery's men.

Those who believe in the Drake curse had seen it coming.

One Chelsea fan even gleefully exclaimed last Wednesday that Arsenal's incoming struggle would "only mean one thing", the Blues in the top four - as they now are.

The Drake curse is a seemingly less sinister version of the Aaron Ramsey curse that fans picked up on in the Welshman's early days at Emirates Stadium.

Every time Ramsey hit the back of the net, a famous celebrity passed away within hours.

Toronto Raptors are perhaps the most famous examples of the Drake curse, the NBA team going as far as naming their practice facility after the rapper having failed to live up to the expectation of their fans - Drake among them.

Several famous faces can claim to have been affected by the Drake curse.

Conor McGregor met the rapper before losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov, Jadon Sancho posed for a photo ahead of Borussia Dortmund's recent hammering at Bayern Munich, and Serena Williams suffered an upset against Roberta Vinci at the 2015 US Open.

There was also fears from Manchester City fans that Sergio Aguero meeting Drake in March would lead to a poor spell of form, however the Argentine went on to hit four goals in his following three appearances.
