Hull City vs Wigan Athletic - Adkins to choose from same squad as Hull bid for play-offs

Hull boss Nigel Adkins is expected to choose from an unchanged squad for the home game against Wigan.

The Tigers have reported no new injuries following Saturday’s home win against Reading and defender Angus MacDonald (deep vein thrombosis) is their only long-term absentee.

Skipper Markus Henriksen returned from suspension against Reading and Dan Batty, who dropped to the bench, is pushing for a recall.

Adkins’ side are chasing a third straight win in a late bid to make the play-off places.

Wigan manager Paul Cook is likely to make changes after starting with an extra central defender in Saturday’s draw at Bristol City.

Cedric Kipre returned to the starting line-up at Ashton Gate, but Cook may tweak things again as the Latics return to the DW Stadium.

Gary Roberts remains doubtful after missing out on Saturday due to a calf strain and Callum McManaman is recovering from a hernia operation.

Fellow midfielder Michael Jacobs (hamstring) will miss the rest of the season, while Anthony Pilkington is hoping to feature again after stepping off the bench at the weekend to score the Latics’ late equaliser.
