Liverpool's Sadio Mane wins Premier League award for March

Liverpool star Sadio Mane has this afternoon been named as the Premier League's Player of the Month for March.

Mane on fire

Senegalese attacker Mane has been Liverpool's key attacking outlet over the last couple of months.

Amid Mohamed Salah's struggles, Mane has taken the Reds' goalscoring burden on his back, with the gifted wide-man's 11 goals in 11 games between the middle of January and the end of March having catapulted the Reds into the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and back above Manchester City atop the Premier League table.

Of Mane's strikes, 5 came in March, including a trio of Premier League goals.

The 26-year-old notched a brace during his side's hard-fought 4-2 victory over Burnley on the 10th of March, before finding the net again versus Fulham a week later.

And, as per the aforementioned announcement this afternoon, Mane's stellar form has today seen him rewarded.

The former Southampton man has been named as the PFA fans' Premier League Player of the Month for March:

Liverpool vs Porto

Mane will no doubt be hoping to carry his goalscoring form into Liverpool's next outing, tomorrow night.

The Merseysiders are set to switch their attentions to the club's European endeavours, for the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie with Portuguese giants Porto.
