ARSENAL scouts watched Paris Saint-Germain star Christopher Nkunku during Tuesday night's 4-0 win over Dijon.
The Gunners were linked with a loan move for the midfielder, 21, in January and are set to step up their interest in July.
Arsenal sent scouts to watch PSG star Christopher Nkunku on Tuesday
Reports in France claim Arsenal representatives personally took in the Dijon drubbing, to see if Nkunku can cut the mustard.
The box-to-box midfielder started the clash and played 75 minutes before being taken over for Moussa Diaby.
The Frenchman has scored three times in 18 Ligue 1 appearances this season, but has hit form at just the right time.
Nkunku has scored twice in his last four games, in big wins over Montpellier and Nimes.
Arsenal only missed out on a short-term deal for the six-cap France Under-21 international as PSG were unable to find a replacement.
But Unai Emery is said to be confident of securing a deal for Nkunku this summer as the Spaniard continues to overhaul his squad.
Nkunku could prove a handy signing too, having been deployed as a makeshift right-back at times this season, as well as his natural centre-mid role.
His contract has just over a year left to run and PSG will want to cash in to avoid losing him on a free in 2020.
