Real Madrid are ready to flog Gareth Bale this summer

REAL MADRID have finally run out of patience with Gareth Bale and will sell him this summer, according to reports.

The European champions had hoped the Welshman would fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo after he quit to join Juventus last year.

But that has not happened and the 29-year-old's form has alarmingly dipped this season, with him scoring just 13 goals.

Bale, who has fallen down the pecking order behind Vinicius Junior and Lucas Vazquez in the role supporting main striker Karim Benzema, saw just 22 minutes of action in the Copa del Rey defeat to Barcelona on Wednesday.

And AS in Spain claim Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has seen enough and wants Bale out of the Bernabeu as soon as possible.

Bale's team-mates have hinted the former Spurs man - who signed for a then world record £86million in 2013 - has not adapted well enough to life in Madrid.

Defender Marcelo claims the he doesn't speak enough Spanish to get by and Thibaut Courtois revealed Bale snubbed a squad dinner because it started way past his bedtime.

It is a sentiment echoed by his ex-Spurs team-mate Rafael van Der Vaart.

He said:"Bale is a very calm player, he wants to be alone, he does not have much contact with his team-mates.

“It is important, though, to speak Spanish in Spain and I think that he is a bit lonely inside the team.

“When he plays well nothing happens, but if he plays badly then you have problems.”

Real tried to sell Bale to Manchester United two years ago as they pushed to land Kylian Mbappe while the exciting striker was at Monaco.

However, he refused to budge and with another three years to run on his current deal, still has no intention of quitting the Spanish capital.

But the decision could be taken out of Bale's hands if United, Chelsea and Spurs firm up their interest.

Real want Eden Hazard and could use the Welsh winger as bait to tempt the Blues into doing business.

As part of the deal that took him to Spain in 2013, Spurs have first refusal if the La Liga giants are ready to sell.

And with reports playmaker Christian Eriksen is also on Real's shopping list, a potential return to North London is also on the cards.
