HARRY KANE will be tempted to join Real Madrid this summer, according to former Tottenham ace Chris Waddle.

Kane’s long-term future with Spurs has been up in the air ever since he established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe.

The Bernabeu has long been touted as a destination for the England international, with reports emerging every transfer window that the Spanish giants are keen on signing him.

A move to Real would provide Kane with the opportunity to win a glut of trophies, which he’s yet to do with his beloved Tottenham.

Waddle believes the allure of joining Los Blancos could very well tempt Kane to end his love affair with Spurs but is adamant he won’t be leaving north London this summer.

“Harry Kane won't leave Tottenham this summer, but his head will eventually turn towards winning trophies,” Waddle told Sportingbet.

“Real Madrid can practically guarantee that, as well as a very generous pay rise.

“He seems very settled at Tottenham and he's enjoying his football, but when he looks back at his career he will want his goals to have secured medals.

“Kane will look at the future of Tottenham once they move into the new stadium and he'll decide on his future from there.

“He can get into any team in the world so Tottenham have to prove they're the club he can lift trophies at.”

Real are understood to hold a long-term interest in signing Kane’s Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen.

The Dane has been the heart of Tottenham’s creativity since his 2013 move arrival, and Waddle seriously doubts the club will be able to replace him if he ends up leaving.

“If Tottenham let Eriksen go, they won’t be able to replace him,” he said.

“He is a top player who anyone would be interested in signing and if Tottenham want to be seriously competing against the top clubs these are the types of players they need to keep hold of.

“Eriksen is vital to the club, especially as they move into their new stadium. Eriksen will know what he is worth and he is within his rights to demand it.

“Tottenham have had a lot tighter budget moving into the new stadium and it would be a lot cheaper to give Eriksen what he wants than to go a spend a large sum of money trying to replace him.”

Tottenham will return to action on Saturday afternoon, welcoming relegation-threatened Newcastle to White Hart Lane.
