The Blues star was on target as he helped his side progress to the Carabao Cup final.

Chelsea beat Tottenham 4-2 on penalties after winning 2-1 on the night with Hazard netting the decisive strike in regular time.

And before the match Sarri had criticised the Belgian, saying he wasn’t a leader.

But Hazard is purely focused on himself and his performances on the Stamford Bridge pitch.

"I don't care. I just play my football. It doesn't matter what the manager said," Hazard said.

"I just focus on my football and want to do my best for this team."

Eden Hazard also opened up on the performance against Tottenham and believes the Blues controlled the game.

"It is always good to bounce back after a tough game. Today we did well for 90 minutes," he explained.

"We controlled the game in the first half. They had one chance and scored.

"At the end we go through to the final so tonight we are happy."

Hazard has admitted City and Liverpool are the best teams in the Premier League but he believes Chelsea have a chance of Carabao Cup glory.

He added: "Man City are the best team with Liverpool in the Premier League.

"They won a lot of trophies but we also have a great team. It's a 50-50 game."

N'Golo Kante gave Chelsea the lead on the night before Hazard doubled the advantage.

Fernando Llorente netted for Tottenham in the second half to level the tie on aggregate.

But Eric Dier and Lucas Moura missing from the spot helped send Chelsea into the final.

David Luiz was also delighted to reach the final after scoring the winning penalty.

"It’s a great feeling, but I think the team did great, especially in the first half, we could have scored three or four goals," he said.

"Also in the second half, we controlled the game. They had one opportunity and they scored.

"But I'm happy with teams, happy with the reaction and the spirit. I'm happy because of that."

The Carabao Cup showpiece between Chelsea and Manchester City takes place on Sunday, February 24.
