CHELSEA are set to make a last-ditch attempt to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi at the club by offering him a bumper new deal.

The teenage starlet is understood to be keen on joining Bayern Munich this month, who are willing to fork out £35million on the 18-year-old.

But according to the Daily Mail, the Blues are prepared to offer the England youth international a contract worth a minimum of £50,000-a-week, rising to £70k if he meets certain targets.

Hudson-Odoi currently rakes in around £22,000-a-week, but is believed to be eyeing up a switch to Bavaria in search of regular game time.

He has featured in just two Premier League matches this season, totalling just 51 minutes of action.

Chelsea are desperate to keep hold of the winger, who is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in European football.

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has claimed his side are in regular discussion with the West Londoners about the signing of the forward.

He told Bild: "We want to sign [Callum Hudson-Odoi]. I have no doubts about his abilities, we are in constant contact with Chelsea."

The player looks set to join the long list of players who failed to make it at Stamford Bridge, including Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Romelu Lukaku and Nathan Ake.

Hudson-Odoi is tied down with Chelsea until 2020, but it has been reported that he is willing to run his deal down if he is not allowed to leave this window.
