Samir Nasri is set to make his West Ham debut against Birmingham in the FA Cup after joining on a free transfer on New Year’s Eve.
Andy Carroll should start in attack despite being taken off at half-time in his first start for a year against Brighton.
Youngsters Grady Diangana and Xande Silva will also be in contention as manager Manuel Pellegrini rotates his squad.
Javier Hernandez, Winston Reid, Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks, Fabian Balbuena, Manuel Lanzini, Carlos Sanchez and Andriy Yarmolenko are all still missing.
Birmingham could be without Kristian Pedersen for the fifth successive match if he fails to recover from an ankle injury.
Blues boss Garry Monk rates the defender’s chances of being fit for the third-round tie as 50/50.
Omar Bogle is likely to miss out with a calf problem and he will join fellow striker Isaac Vassell (hip), defender Marc Roberts (hamstring) and midfielder David Davis (ankle) on the sidelines. Vassell is set to play for the under-23 side this weekend while Davis is expected to be back in first team contention by the end of the month.
On-loan duo Connor Mahoney and Gary Gardner are available to Monk after their parent clubs agreed to them playing in the FA Cup.
