Gillingham’s Tom Eaves hoping to return for Doncaster clash

Gillingham striker Tom Eaves could return to action in Saturday’s Sky Bet League One home clash with Doncaster.
Eaves, who is the leading scorer in the division this season with 14 goals, has missed the last two games due to a thigh problem.
Gills boss Steve Lovell said after the 2-0 Boxing Day win over Portsmouth that if the 26-year-old was not ready for the visit of Rovers he would be for the trip to Southend on New Year’s Day.
Dean Parrett came off against Portsmouth with a tight hamstring but is expected to involved on Saturday.
Doncaster’s Shaun Cummings is a doubt after being withdrawn at half-time during the 3-0 loss at Fleetwood on Boxing Day because of a groin issue.
Fellow right-back Niall Mason (broken toe) definitely misses out, but Matty Blair should be available having sat out the Fleetwood contest with illness.
Joe Wright is another defender who remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
The defeat at Highbury Stadium was a first loss in seven league matches for Grant McCann’s seventh-placed Doncaster.
