Tranmere’s Cole Stockton hoping for another start against Yeovil

Cole Stockton will hope to keep his starting place when Tranmere entertain Yeovil.
Striker Stockton was preferred to Paul Mullin for the 3-1 win over Morecambe on Boxing Day and opened the scoring after just three minutes.
Manager Micky Mellon was impressed by Stockton’s contribution, saying: “I was really pleased for Cole to get his name on the scoresheet. He works his socks off and does a lot of work for the team that is required in order for us to function in the way we want to.”
Ritchie Sutton replaced the injured Steve McNulty for the Shrimps clash and it remains to be seen if the Rovers skipper recovers in time to resume at the heart of defence.
Bevis Mugabi should continue at the back for Yeovil.
The central defender showed no ill-effects having returned after a three-game absence with a shoulder injury in the derby clash at Exeter on Boxing Day.
The Glovers’ injury problems show little sign of abating, however, with Omar Sowunmi (ankle), James Bailey (knee), Alex Pattison (back), Gabby Rogers (ankle), Wes McDonald (hamstring) and Diallang Jaiyesimi (knee) still sidelined.
Forward Yoann Arquin will hope to feature more prominently after starting on the bench once again against the Grecians.
