Nabil Fekir to Chelsea?
Chelsea are said to be eyeing a January move for Lyon and France midfielder Nabil Fekir, according to the Mail.
Fekir has played 170 games across all competitions for Lyon, in which he has scored 63 and assisted 41.
The Frenchman is also enjoying a solid start to the 2018/19 season were he has played 16, scored six and assisted four.
Fekir is naturally an attacking midfielder, however, he can also play as a left winger, right winger and even as a centre-forward.
Fekir did come close to joining Chelsea's Premier League rivals Liverpool in the summer but that deal would fall through.
Liverpool were said to be willing to pay around £52m for Fekir but now his contract is due to run out in 2020, the Blues are hoping to sign him for less.
Chelsea not good enough to win the title
If Fekir does join Chelsea, he would certainly help improve their squad and after Saturday it is clear that is needed.
Chelsea faced Leicester on Saturday in a 3 pm kickoff.
After Arsenal had beaten Burnley earlier in the day, Chelsea needed to win in order to reopen a three-point gap.
However, a 51st-minute goal from Jamie Vardy would see Leicester come away with the win.
After the game, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger slammed his side's mentality and all but wrote off their title chances:
"For us in this situation, in the table, it is a disaster.
"With respect [to Leicester] if we cannot win these type of games, we cannot compete.
"It's a lack of mentality, I don't know."
