Neal Ardley takes charge of his first home match as Notts County manager as Tranmere visit Meadow Lane in Sky Bet League Two.
The struggling Magpies, who are without a win in nine games, could have Matt Tootle back in contention after the defender returned to training this week following an ankle injury.
Ardley has hinted he could bring midfielder Noor Husin back into the reckoning after impressing in the reserves.
Winger Enzio Boldewijn is a long-term absentee after undergoing knee surgery.
Tranmere are still without key midfield pair Ollie Banks and Harvey Gilmour due to injury.
Banks faces a few more weeks on the sidelines with a hernia while Gilmour is still troubled by a foot injury.
Larnell Cole, who is battling to overcome a hamstring injury, also remains a doubt.
On-loan winger Dylan Mottley-Henry is currently out of the reckoning after tearing a hamstring and has been receiving treatment back at parent club Barnsley.
