Neil Danns will miss Bury’s Sky Bet League Two game at home to Stevenage after being called up for international duty.
Midfielder Danns is part of the Guyana squad for Tuesday’s CONCACAF Nations League qualifying game against French Guiana.
Shakers boss Ryan Lowe made eight changes for the midweek Checkatrade Trophy win over Fleetwood and is expected to bring back his first-team regulars.
Eoghan O’Connell and Stephen Dawson could return from unspecified injuries, but striker Jermaine Beckford (knee) remains sidelined.
Stevenage also have absentees due to international fixtures, with Terence Vancooten and Liam Smyth unavailable at Gigg Lane.
Defender Vancooten joins Danns in the Guyana squad, while forward Smyth has been called up to the Northern Ireland Under-19 team.
On-loan defender Steve Seddon will be assessed ahead of kick-off after being carried off on a stretcher having sustained a neck injury during last weekend’s FA Cup defeat at Plymouth.
Winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce and forward Dan Newton are among the players pushing for starts.
