Young Gull keen to take flight against Woking

Torquay’s teenage striker Olaf Koszela has been given hope of a senior debut in Saturday’s FA Cup first-round tie against Woking.
The 16-year-old, who scored twice in the FA Youth Cup win over Totton and Eling and has 27 in nine games for the club’s youth teams this season, was an unused substitute against Vanarama National League South leaders Billericay last time out.
Manager Gary Johnson told Devon Live: “He had been doing very well in the youth team, scoring goals. We put him on the bench because of what he’s shown us.”
On-loan Bristol City player Jake Andrews missed the Billericay game with a knock and will hope to return to action but Chris Regis has left the Gulls after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent and has signed for Wealdstone.
Woking are boosted by the return of several players from injury and illness.
Defender Ian Gayle has recovered from illness and striker Nicky Wheeler should also be available after a minor knock.
Berti Schotterl could be recalled in goal and the on-loan Oxford pair of Armani Little and Harvey Bradbury are also back in contention after featuring in their parent club’s midweek Checkatrade Trophy tie against Wycombe.
Christian Jolley is not expected to feature but is nearing a return after what had been feared to be a potential career-threatening injury.
