In-form Tyler Walker made it five goals in three games to rescue Mansfield Town a 2-1 home win over Grimsby.
The Stags went in at the break trailing to Mel Benning’s 36th minute own goal.
There was little the defender could do to get out the way of Wes Thomas’ deflected low cross from the left by-line.
It was hard on Mansfield, who had the best of the first half, but wasted good chances.
Grimsby keeper James McKeown’s legs denied Danny Rose in a one-on-one as early as the third minute and six minutes later he he raced out to smother before Walker could meet Rose’s pass.
But the hosts were level in the 50th minute as Walker applied a close range touch to a near post cross by Jacob Mellis after Grimsby had failed to clear a corner.
Craig Davies and Walker both went close before the winner arrived with eight minutes to go, Walker heading in from close range at the far post from a superb CJ Hamilton cross from the left by-line.
