Loris Karius has played every minute for Besiktas since joining on loan from Liverpool
On-loan Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has strongly denied the rumours that claimed Besiktas want him to return to Anfield in January.
Besiktas paid £2.2m to bring Karius to Turkey on a two-year loan deal in the summer, with an option to buy the 25-year-old in 2020.
However, reports on Tuesday suggested the German goalkeeper could return to Liverpool in the January transfer window as Besiktas looked to cut the deal short.
Karius dismissed the speculation when posting a picture of him drinking coffee on his Instagram story, with the accompanying words: "Coffee first, media's bull**** second".
Karius has started every match since joining Besiktas, conceding 15 goals in 10 matches.
He left Liverpool in the summer having made 49 appearances after joining from Mainz in 2016.
Thirty-three of those appearances came last season, where he came under fire for his performance in the Champions League final, which included two errors that led to goals in the 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid.
He was in tears at the final whistle and Liverpool decided to sign Roma's Alisson, subsequently signing the Brazil 'keeper in a then world-record £67m transfer.
