Kroos: I'm not worried about Real Madrid's results

Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Toni Kroos has spoken about the Spanish side's current slump in a press conference ahead of his country's Nations League clash with the Netherlands.

The 28-year-old didn't seem worried by Los Blancos' poor run of form which has seen them lose three of their last four matches and go 500 minutes without scoring.

"It's a challenge to turn this situation around," he told the media.

"We have demonstrated that we can do it, there have always been spells like this.

"I'm not worried."

Kroos was also asked about the more defensive role that he plays in Julen Lopetegui's side while adopting a more attacking approach with Germany.

"I like playing there, but I'm not Casemiro," he said.

"Joshua Kimmich has played really well for Germany twice, he's a great model for the future, we could use him there regularly."

The Real Madrid star also went on to dismiss Michael Ballack's suggestion that coach Joachim Low should have been sacked for the nation's poor showing at the World Cup (the worst in 80 years).

"He thinks there should have been a change, maybe it's because he wants the job," Kroos joked.

"There will always be different opinions, some people think you should retire after great achievements while others believe the best time is after a big failure.

"If you ask yourself, the coach can find new incentives and Low has done.

"I am convinced that we can return to doing well again."
