Andy Ryan’s first-half goal and a late score by Myles Hippolyte saw Dunfermline beat rock-bottom Falkirk 2-0 in the Scottish Championship on Saturday.
Louis Longridge’s cross from the right was headed in by Ryan in the 40th minute to give the visitors the advantage at the break.
Aidan Connolly skimmed the side-netting with a chance from 30 yards midway through the second half and then hit the top of Falkirk’s goal in the 82nd minute.
Hippolyte, who came on as a substitute for Ryan in the 81st minute, fired into the net in stoppage time to wrap up the win after an unselfish pass from Faissal El Bakhtaoui.
Dunfermline’s second successive league win boosted them into fifth place in the league standings.
