Keeper Morris stars as Crawley leave it late

Late goals from Luke Gambin and Ollie Palmer gave Crawley their fourth successive home victory with a 2-0 success over struggling Cambridge.
United dominated for long periods but poor finishing let them down as they slipped to their fifth defeat in six games.
Crawley keeper Glenn Morris kept out an early goalbound header from Liam O’Neil and superbly tipped over a 25-yard effort from George Maris.
Morris did well again to dive at the feet of the onrushing Jevani Brown after a clever ball by Reggie Lamb. Greg Taylor had a header tipped over and United defender Louis John headed into the side netting.
Crawley continued to live dangerously after the restart and Morris parried shots from Ade Azeez and O’Neil in quick succession.
The hosts’ first shot on target did not arrive until the 62nd minute when a shot from skipper Filipe Morais was parried by David Forde and substitute Panutche Camara put the rebound wide.
Crawley broke the deadlock nine minutes later when midfielder Gambin, on loan from Luton, fired home left-footed to the left of keeper Forde.
Top scorer Palmer doubled the advantage on 77 minutes with his seventh of the season, beating Forde from the edge of the area.
