Unai Emery has moved to dismiss rumours he refused to let Joachim Low into Arsenal's training ground to speak with Mesut Ozil.
Reports surfaced Emery prevented Low from entering Arsenal's training base as he sought reconciliation talks with Ozil, following the midfielder's retirement from international football following the World Cup.
However, speaking to Sky Sports after Arsenal's victory over Brentford 3-1 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, Emery insisted the reports were incorrect.
"It's not true that I didn't let Mesut meet with Low," he said. "I had no problem in our situation in the training ground. It's not true."
Bild magazine had quoted Low's No 2, Oliver Bierhoff saying: "We would have liked to have spoken to Mesut, but we have to accept that at the moment he doesn't want to have this conversation with us,"
However, Sky Sports News was then told some aspects of the reports in Germany were wide of the mark and Low was in Hertfordshire to talk to Per Mertesacker - appointed as the head of the club's academy at the end of last season.
Sky Sports News have been told Ozil, who recently retired from international football in controversial fashion, was not present at the training ground at the time and Low did briefly chat to Germany international pair Bernd Leno and Shkodran Mustafi.
Ozil's agent Erkut Sogut, who Bierhoff had reportedly contacted before the visit, declined to comment. At the start of the month, Low said he has often already tried to contact Ozil, but without success.
Ozil was rested on Wednesday night as Danny Welbeck scored twice and Alexandre Lacazette added a third to send Arsenal into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
