Dennis Wise makes Eden Hazard transfer prediction amid Real Madrid rumours
CHELSEA star Eden Hazard will not be joining Real Madrid this summer.

That’s according to Blues legend Dennis Wise.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a switch to the Bernabeu this summer as the La Liga giants seek a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The superstar ended his nine-year spell at Real as he completed an £88m switch to Juventus.

The Spaniards are keen to bring in a new talisman to partner Gareth Bale and after missing out on Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, Hazard is among their list of targets.

The 27-year-old dropped a huge transfer hint following the World Cup, suggesting his time at Stamford Bridge was over.

He said: “After six wonderful years at Chelsea, it might be time to discover something different.

"I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision.

"If they let me out, you already know my favourite destination.”

But new boss Maurizio Sarri insists Hazard and Willian - who was targeted by Manchester United and Barcelona - will be staying at the club.

Despite the Premier League transfer window closing before the new season kicked off, Real have until the end of the month to complete any deals.

However Wise is confident Hazard will reject any approach from the European champions.

"I think he’ll stay, I really do," he told beIN SPORTS.

"He’s important to Chelsea and the fans as well.

"He’s important to the team as he is a player of exceptional ability.

"You want to keep those type of players so fingers crossed nothing happens.

"I think he’s quite loyal and I think he wants to stay at Chelsea, I really do."

Sarri’s era at Chelsea has got off to a flyer after taking over from Antonio Conte.

The Blues have won both of their opening games against Huddersfield and London rivals Arsenal.

They return to action on Sunday with a trip to Newcastle.
