Eden Hazard confirms he's staying at Chelsea this season but hasn't ruled out a move in the future.

Rumours linking the Belgian with a move away from Stamford Bridge have been going on for a while, but have intensified in recent months.

After Belgium's best-ever World Cup campaign in Russia, which ended with them finishing in third place, the 27-year-old forward hinted that his time could be coming to an end in west London.

"After six wonderful years at Chelsea, it might be time to discover something different," Hazard told the Guardian. "I can decide if I want to stay or go."

Speculation over where the forward would head to next began from here, with the likeliest destination predicted to be Real Madrid who had just lost Ronaldo to Juventus and are purportedly still looking to replace the Portugal star.

The La Liga transfer window doesn't close until August 31, leaving many Blues fans nervous about losing one of their best players.

However, many of them will be able to breathe a sigh of relief, for now, after Hazard has confirmed his immediate future.

"Everybody knows what I have said after the World Cup. But I'm happy here," the 27-year-old told RMC Sport (via the Mail) following Chelsea's 3-2 over Arsenal on Saturday (via the Mail).

"A lot has been said. A lot of stupidity too.

"But at the moment I'm happy. I have two years left on my contract and we'll see what happens. Leaving this year? I won't go.

"The transfer market in England is closed. Clubs can still sell players, but not sign new ones anymore. It would be a bit strange that they would sell me now while they can't sign a replacement."

"I'm good where I am now," added Hazard. "Let's see what happens in one or two years."

Hazard showed why he is considered so valuable to the Blues when he was substituted on in the second half. He routinely wrong-footed Arsenal's defenders and assisted Marcos Alonso's match-winner with 1o minutes to go.

Chelsea head to St James' Park next Sunday to take on Newcastle United.
