MARIO BALOTELLI'S party trick almost backfired as he narrowly avoided smashing his head on the side of a swimming pool after tearing down a water slide.

The Nice striker is still not sure where he will be playing next season but looked in no rush to sort his future as he larked about at a water park.

But it almost ended in disaster when he pulled off a front flip after flying down the slide.

The forward somersaulted in the air and landed just inches before the wall of the pool.

An onlooker watched it all unfold and his actions suggested just how close he was to smashing his head.

Balotelli uploaded the clip to his 7.6million Twitter followers alongside the caption: "Don't do this kids."

Balotelli is currently contracted to Nice but finds himself in limbo just days before the season gets underway.

The 27-year-old angered boss Patrick Vieira by failing to turn up to training.

He has been heavily linked with a switch to Marseille throughout the summer and appeared on the brink of agreeing a deal after heading to the training ground to discuss a move with the board.

But the transfer came to a standstill over agent Mino Raiola's demands for money.

When asked by a fan on Instagram whether he would be signing for Marseille, he wrote: "It does not just depend on me unfortunately."

And outside Nice's training ground, graffiti appeared on the walls that read: "Raiola, take your belly, your player and f*** off."

He scored 18 goals in Ligue 1 last season to get his career back on track.
