At the Eleven Bar & Grill in Cardiff, Gareth Bale let his true feelings be known regarding the Champions League final against Liverpool.
Zinedine Zidane left him out of the Real Madrid starting line up, a decision that irked the Welshman.
"I was frustrated, I've said it before, for not being a starter," he said.
"I knew I was capable of being important in the game but that's how it was."
The final will forever be remembered for Bale's astonishing overhead kick.
"It was great to score that goal, pure emotion, it's one of those things you do not think about, you just react," he continued.
"I always wanted to score an overhead kick, but to score it on that occasion... it was definitely the place to do it.
"I went on vacation afterwards and tried to disconnect, so I have not seen it many times... but if you don't try those things, they never come off."
